Sales at the Welfare League Thrift Shop fund our Community Service Programs:

Scholarships - Two scholarship programs help 10 to 15 students every year in health related studies.

Special Projects - Grants to non-profit agencies to help them fund their projects.

Clothes Closet - Provides clients of local agencies with new or gently used clothing for job interviews or settling into the community. Children and infant items are also provided.

Memorial Fund - Established to receive memorial donations for WL members and their families. When this account reaches a pre-established amount the money is donated to a community project

Layettes - New items are purchased for layettes which are distributed to local hospitals; every infant needs something new to wear on the trip home.

Mad Hatters - Hundreds of hats and scarves handmade by our volunteers are distributed to schools, cancer and dialysis centers, and other agencies.

Christmas Unlimited - Our signature program that serves over 2000 children in Sonoma County. Welfare League volunteers come together to help the parents select wrap-ready new winter clothing, new toys, and a book for their children who might otherwise receive very little for the holidays.
